Earth Spirit Somatics offers both licensed psychotherapy and separate bodywork and experiential services. The professional role, scope of practice, documentation, and informed consent requirements differ depending on the service being provided.
Somatic Psychotherapy is provided by Denise Kimball, LPC, under her Oregon professional counseling license. This is a licensed mental health service that integrates traditional psychotherapy with somatic awareness, nervous system education, mindfulness, movement, and other body-centered approaches.
Emotional Release Bodywork (ERB) is a separate, hands-on bodywork service and is not provided under my LPC license. ERB is not mental health counseling or psychotherapy and does not include mental health diagnosis, treatment planning, or psychotherapy documentation. Clients participating in ERB complete separate informed consent and liability documentation specific to bodywork.
Rooted in Love is a six-month somatic relationship immersion that may include both licensed Somatic Psychotherapy and separate Emotional Release Bodywork. Psychotherapy provided within Rooted in Love is provided under my LPC license and follows the professional, ethical, informed consent, and documentation requirements of licensed counseling. Emotional Release Bodywork remains a separate service and is not provided under my LPC license.
Emotional Release Bodywork Workshops are experiential and educational bodywork offerings and are not provided under my LPC license. Workshops are not psychotherapy, mental health counseling, or medical treatment and do not include mental health diagnosis or individualized clinical treatment.
ERB and ERB Workshops are complementary services and are not substitutes for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. Participants are encouraged to maintain relationships with appropriate licensed healthcare providers when clinical treatment or medical oversight is needed.
